How do you play the ABC Game?

First, give each person a blank game page. On each page, you will see 26 lines next to each letter of the alphabet. The idea here is to come up with one reason why you love America that begins with each letter of the alphabet.

C: Celebration
D: Democracy

How to make printable games more fun for group settings:

This activity is definitely fun to play on your own. However, it is also a great game to play in the classroom or at a holiday party.

One way to add a competitive element to the game is to make it into a scattergories game.

This means that the game begins the same way, each person is given a blank game page. Next, set a timer for 3-5 minutes. If you are playing with younger kids or a larger group of people, you might want to add a few extra minutes to the time period.

Start going through the alphabet and come up with an America themed word for each letter of the alphabet. If you cannot think of a word, feel free to skip it and go back to that letter if you have time at the end.

The goal is to try and come up with as many unique words as you can.

Once the timer runs out, each player will go around and read their answers out loud. If you have the same word as another player, both of you must cross that answer off your lists.

At the end, whichever person has the most unique words at the end, wins!
