Growing up I absolutely loved making my own paper dolls. I used to drive my mom crazy after making these dolls because I used to DIY my own lamination by covering everything in scotch tape.
Thankfully for my own kids projects I’ve upgraded to an actual lamination machine!
I remember coloring and playing with my homemade paper dolls for hours. It was a great way to be creative and get in some imaginative play.
How to make your own paper doll:
First, print out the free pdf containing the blank doll and doll clothes.
Color in the doll and clothes however you would like. Be creative! This is a great way to experiment with creating different fashion items, skin tones, facial expressions etc. Feel free to print out as many dolls as you would like.
Once you have colored in your doll and desired clothing, cut everything out and glue together. Don’t forget to include the hair and shoes!
This next step is not necessary but I decided to laminate my paper dolls as well. This will ensure that as the dolls get played with they are a bit more durable and long lasting.
This is the lamination machine that I currently have and I absolutely love it!

This coloring was was designed to be printed onto a standard 8.5×11 inch piece of white printer paper or cardstock. For the best quality I would highly recommend using cardstock and also laminating the doll once you are done.
