Personally, I have always loved art. And now that my kids are into drawing as well, I like to sit down and color with them. In the past, I’ve purchased adult coloring books, however, I found them too detailed and frankly stressful to color in, which is the opposite of what I was going for!
Coloring can be such a relaxing activity and a great way to practice mindfulness. I decided that I wanted to create some patterned coloring pages that are simple enough that you can zone out and just focus on coloring and not what the picture is supposed to look like. Coloring Supplies
Feel free to use markers, crayons, colored pencils or any other type of medium you would like. The purpose of these coloring pages is for relaxation, mindfulness and enjoyment. Personally, I use the Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers or the Caliart Dual Tip Markers (more affordable option).
Paper
I personally love printing out coloring pages onto white cardstock if I am using markers. I feel as if it simply holds up better. However, regular printer paper works just as well especially for crayons and colored pencils.
Printer
Any type of printer will work for these types of coloring pages. If you don’t already have a printer at home and are looking to get one, I would recommend the HP Brand Printers.
