I am always on the lookout for a fun festive way to upgrade everyday items. I always think that the less supplies you have to buy, the better! And so for today’s tutorial, I am going to show you how to make these super cute Santa themed lollipops.

It is a great craft that even the littlest of kids can have fun helping to make.

Supplies needed to make Santa Lollipops:

  • Lollipops (any brand, round lollipop will work great!)
  • Red tissue paper
  • Black construction paper
  • Yellow Construction paper
  • White pipe cleaners
  • Scissors
  • Glue

The first thing you are going to do is wrap the lollipop in red tissue paper. Be sure to leave the original lollipop wrapper on underneath as to not dry out the lollipop. (And for sanitary reasons of course!)

Depending on how thick your tissue paper is, you may want to fold the tissue paper once or twice before wrapping to make sure that none of the original lollipop wrapper shows through.

Once you wrapped the lollipop, carefully cut off any excess. You now have made Santa’s red suit!

Take a white pipe cleaner and wrap it around the lollipop to secure the tissue paper in place. This white portion can either be viewed as the fur on Santa’s red suit, or the bottom of his beard. The interpretation is up to you!

Next cut a thin strip of black construction paper and glue it onto the red tissue paper, making sure that it wraps all the way around the lollipop.

Using yellow construction paper, cut a small square to make Santa’s belt buckle.

To make the inner portion of the belt buckle, I folded the yellow construction paper in half and cut a small square out of the center and then unfolded it.

Next, glue the yellow buckle onto Santa’s belt.

Repeat with as many lollipops as you would like and enjoy!
