How to make a construction paper bulldozer craft

If you are looking for a fun and creative activity to do with your toddler or preschool class, then look no further! This simple construction paper bulldozer craft is super easy and turns out really cute if you ask me!

One of my favorite projects that my son brings home from preschool are the ones that I can hang up and display all year round. He sometimes comes home with holiday or seasonal themed crafts which are absolutely adorable, but I don’t always want to hang a spooky Jack-O-Lantern on the fridge all year!

And so I wanted to come up with a bunch of fun preschool or kindergarten crafts that were of every day objects and scenes. Today I’m happy to share with you this cute construction paper bulldozer craft.

I’ve created a printable template that you can download and use which makes this project so simple that anyone can do it!

Construction Paper Bulldozer Craft Instructions:

First, you’ll want to download the construction paper bulldozer template that I’ve created. You can find the download link at the bottom of this post.

I would recommend printing the template out onto white cardstock. If you only have regular printer paper that is fine too, however cardstock would definitely be the best option. Cardstock is thicker and will allow you to more easily trace the pattern onto the colored construction paper.

It is also more durable if you are planning on doing this project with your class and need to make multiples.

Once the pattern is printed out, simply cut the shapes out with scissors. If any shape requires you to cut multiples out, it will say for example Yellow x4.

In my example, you can also see that I have included ground and three clouds. I did not make a template for these items as they do not need to be precise.

I cut a piece of brown construction paper for the ground and three light blue clouds for the sky.

After all of the shapes have been cut out, you can choose a background color. Here, I chose blue for the sky. However, feel free to be as creative as you would like in choosing your colors!

First, have your kids or students glue down the ground. I used a glue stick but elmers or craft glue would also work great as well.

Next, they can glue down the bulldozers yellow body. Add the black tracks and yellow wheels. Glue on the white window and gray blade.

Finally, add some clouds into the sky and sit back and admire your beautiful bulldozer scene!
