Free Printable Build a Dinosaur Craft

This free printable build a dinosaur craft is perfect for kids of all ages. Simply color and cut out the shapes and glue them together to build your very own dinosaur!

I think we can all agree that most like love dinosaurs at one point or another. This craft is so much fun for kids of all ages and is perfect for working on both at home or in the classroom.

Supplied needed:

Coloring page template (the free download link is located at the bottom of this post)
Crayons, markers or colored pencils
White printer paper or cardstock
Scissors
Glue
Construction paper

How to use the craft template:

Step 1: Print out the coloring page.

First, print out the template onto white printer paper or cardstock. One dinosaur craft will print per page.

Step 2: Color in all of the pieces of the dinosaur.

Get as creative as you’d like! Take out crayons, markers, colored pencils or any other types of art materials you have around the house and get coloring!

Step 3: Cut out the shapes.

This step is great for any kids who are able to safely use scissors. It is excellent practice for working on their fine motor and scissor skills. If your kids are not able to use scissors, you can assist them and they can work on the next step.

Step 4: Glue the dinosaur together.

Aside from the coloring, this is the most fun step in my opinion! Here, you can follow the small reference diagram at the bottom of the page and begin gluing the dinosaur pieces in the correct spaces. Once you are done, you have a fun piece of dinosaur artwork worthy of display!

Favorite Printable Supplies:

These are a few of my favorite supplies that I use for printable games and activities:

White Cardstock: For most projects, I recommend printing onto cardstock. It is much more durable than standard printer paper and often produces a higher quality print.
Crayons: A staple in any crafting household. Crayola is always the top notch choice!
Kid Friendly Safety Scissors: These are perfect for little kids learning how to use scissors. They cut paper but not fingers or hair!
Glue Sticks: These disappearing purple glue sticks are by far my favorite! I love buying them in bulk since we use them so often!
Lamination Machine: Laminating printables are a great way to make them last longer. If you are planning on laminating to make games reusable, be sure to get a bunch of dry erase markers as well.
Dry Erase Pockets: Dry erase pockets are a great alternative to using a lamination machine when wanting to make printable games and activities reusable.
Printer: A high quality printer is always recommended for the best results. If you are in need of a printer this Brother Wireless Printer is a great choice.
