How do you play the ABC Game?
The first step is to give each person a blank game page. On the activity page, you will see a line next to each letter of the alphabet. The goal of the game is to come up with one school related word that begins with that letter.
Here are a couple of examples to help get you started:
A: Apple
B: Books
C: Classroom
D: Desk
How to make the ABC game more fun and challenging
While this activity is fun to play on your own, playing it in a group setting such as a graduation party or in the classroom can be even more fun!
One great way to add some competition to the activity is to turn it into a scattergories type game.
For this game, it begins the same by handing out a blank game page to each player. Next, set a timer for somewhere around 3-5 minutes. If you are playing with younger children, you might want to extend the time period to be longer.
Next, go through the alphabet and come up with a school or education themed word for each letter of the alphabet.
The idea here is to try and come up with as unique words as possible.
Once the time runs out, go around to each player and have everyone read out their answers. If you happen to have the same word as another player, you both must cross that answer off of your list.
Whichever person has the most unique words at the end of the round, wins!

- Glue Sticks: These disappearing purple glue sticks are by far my favorite! I love buying them in bulk since we use them so often!
- Lamination Machine: Laminating printables are a great way to make them last longer. If you are planning on laminating to make games reusable, be sure to get a bunch of dry erase markers as well.
- Dry Erase Pockets: Dry erase pockets are a great alternative to using a lamination machine when wanting to make printable games and activities reusable.
