How do you play the ABC game?

First, give each player a blank activity page. On the page, you will see a line next to each letter of the alphabet. The goal of the activity is to come up with one Christmas related word that begins with each letter.

Here are a few words to help get you started:

A: Advent Calendar
B: Baking
C: Caroling

How to make the game more fun in group settings

While the ABC game is fun to play on your own, you might wish to play it with a group of family and friends or in a classroom setting.

One way to add a more competitive edge to the activity is to turn it into a scattegories game.

To do this, hand out an activity page to each player. Set a timer for 3-5 minutes. (Feel free to extend the time if you are playing with younger children). Go through each letter of the alphabet and come up with a Christmas themed word.

The goal here is to try and come up with as unique words as possible.

After the time runs out, go around the room and have each player read aloud their answers. If you have the same answer as someone else, both of you must cross the word off of your list.

Whichever person has the most unique words at the end of the game, wins!

Dry Erase Pockets: Dry erase pockets are a great alternative to using a lamination machine when wanting to make printable games and activities reusable.
