How to use the free printable leaf templates:

The possibilities are endless! You can use these leaf templates in a variety of different projects. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Decorate your classroom
You can use these leaf templates to create leaves out of fall colored paper. Use the leaves to decorate your classroom door or the walls You can also write your students’ names on the leaves and attach to their desks for a fun name sign.
  • Decorate your home for fall
Who doesn’t love decorating their home for different seasons? As soon as fall rolls around, you can have your kids help you cut out a bunch of the leaf templates and hang them all around your home for a fun festive feel.
  • Use as coloring pages
These templates are perfect for coloring pages as well. Break out the crayons, colored pencils and markers and get coloring! For an extra level of fun, you can even give your kids glitter, stickers, pom poms or other art supplies to decorate their little leaf project.

Once completed, you can hang the decorated leaves around your home or classroom.
  • Use as favor tags
Are you having a fall themed party this year? Print out the leaves onto cardstock, punch a hole at the top and then write a little note along with the recipients name. You can then use string or twine to tie the tag onto your party favors.
  • Use as table numbers or place cards
Whether you are having a classroom party, a work party, a fall themed wedding, or even hosting a large Thanksgiving dinner, you may want to create very your table numbers or place cards.

Simply print out the leaf templates onto regular printer paper and then trace onto cardstock to create your stencil. Next, trace the leaves onto your desired paper. Afterwards, you can write your guest’s names and the table numbers onto the leaves to add a fun festive touch to your party.

You can also purchase some of these great table number holders to hold up your place cards.

Note: If you are planning on using one of these templates as a stencil where you will be tracing onto other types of papers or material, I would definitely recommend printing out the templates onto a quality cardstock.

Cardstock is more durable than regular printer paper and will better withstand being used multiple times and traced over and over again.

Depending on your printer and the thickness of your paper, you may be able to print directly onto cardstock. If that is not possible, simple print the original template onto regular printer paper and then trace onto cardstock to create your thicker more durable stencil.

Favorite Printable Supplies:

These are a few of my favorite supplies that I use for printable games and activities:

  • White Cardstock: For most projects, I recommend printing onto cardstock. It is much more durable than standard printer paper and often produces a higher quality print.
  • Crayons: A staple in any crafting household. Crayola is always the top notch choice!
  • Kid Friendly Safety Scissors: These are perfect for little kids learning how to use scissors. They cut paper but not fingers or hair!
  • Glue Sticks: These disappearing purple glue sticks are by far my favorite! I love buying them in bulk since we use them so often!
  • Lamination Machine: Laminating printables are a great way to make them last longer. If you are planning on laminating to make games reusable, be sure to get a bunch of dry erase markers as well.
  • Dry Erase Pockets: Dry erase pockets are a great alternative to using a lamination machine when wanting to make printable games and activities reusable.
  • Printer: A high quality printer is always recommended for the best results. If you are in need of a printer this Brother Wireless Printer is a great choice.
