I am always on the lookout for cute homemade party favor ideas. My favorite ones are the kinds that let kids be creative. Anything from coloring books to craft kits are right up my alley.
I remember one at year my husband’s work Christmas party, all the kids went home with a kit to make a homemade ornament. It included all the supplies and simple instructions on how to put it together.
My son absolutely loved it. He was so proud of himself that he made an ornament all by himself and then was able to prominently display it on our Christmas tree.
That got me thinking about party favor ideas that you could give out for other holidays. And so today I am excited to share with you this super cute make your own monster kit that you can easily put together with simple craft supplies you probably already have at home.
These little kits would also be a great alternative to handing out candy to trick or treaters this year!
I’ve also designed a free printable make your own monster bag topper to go on top. The link to download that file is located at the bottom of this post.
Here is what you will need and how to put them together.
Suggested materials needed to create one make your own monster kit:
Feel free to mix up the supplies below and include more or less than what I am suggesting here. The only items I would definitely include would be the play doh as it acts as the monsters body, the googly eyes and the pipe cleaners. Anything else you have on hand would be extra.
Be creative and let your imagination run wild! **Note: If you are planning on handing these out as favors to very small children, I would recommend leaving out small supplies such as tiny beads that could be potentially be a choking hazard.
