DIY Pinecone Centerpiece - Rustic Winter Centerpiece Idea
If you read my last post, you'll know that I've been collecting the pinecones around my house for the past few weeks. I knew I could figure out some way to repurpose them into fun fall/winter decor.I created this pinecone centerpiece that I thought would be great for decorating your holiday table, or even as centerpieces for rustic winter themed weddings/bridal showers etc.

Supplies needed to make a pinecone centerpiece:
- Metal bucket
- Burlap roll
- Ribbon
- Artificial garland or tree branch
- Pinecones
- Hot glue
- Scissors
The first step is to take a piece of burlap and wrap it around the metal bucket. I used a dab of hot glue at the start of the roll and a few additional dabs of glue here and there to help hold the burlap in place.
Once attached, cut off any excess burlap.
Using a piece of ribbon, tie a bow around the burlap.
The next step is to fill the bucket with your branches and pinecones. I placed a few crumpled up paper towels at the bottom of the bucket to give the contents inside a little more height.
And it's as simple as that! You now have a cute rustic winter themed centerpiece for your parties or everyday home decor.

Your rustic winter centerpiece is such a nice tabletop decoration for the holidays. I have a cat and I know that she would not play with this centerpiece. You can even display in after the holidays during the cold, snowy month.
Thank you! I agree, I think it'd be great centerpiece even after the holidays. I actually have it on my dining room table right now 🙂 Getting in the holiday spirit a little early!
This is beautiful. Perfect inspiration for the winter season. I'm excited for Christmas!!!!
Love this! I agree with the commenters above— this would be so nice to display even if not as a “holiday decoration” per se. It looks so warm and cheery, and I might make be making it soon! (It’s not often that I find a DIY project for which I already have all the materials/supplies on-hand. 🙂)
Thank you! And yes, it's so great when you already have the supplies!
Cute ideas!
This is really nice, and I have burlap roll like that I was getting ready to put in a bag of things I donating. Now I know what to do with it, and oh wow, I'm a sucker for bows.
I love this craft as I can get the pine cones and sprigs in my backyard. I love natural crafts and holiday decorations.
Lovely craft idea!
This centerpiece is so pretty!
I love this I was looking for something rustic to add to my other decorations. Thank you for posting this.
This is really pretty, I'll try to make this for my Mother.
Perfect ! My daughter just picked up a bunch of pine cones the other day to do something crafty with , this will be a great way for her to use them !
I love having the burlap roll to use when decorating at the holidays or parties during the year. I want to make this for my dining table and fireplace for the holidays and i will put a battery pack of little lights in it too.
