This free printable Christmas coupon book will make a great stocking stuffer this Christmas. They are easy to put together, perfect for last minute gifts, all while being super thoughtful and personal.
I’m always on the hunt for great DIY Christmas gifts. Or really, DIY gifts for any occasion! While it can be easy to run to the store and pick out a present for a particular friend or family member, I always try my best to make things a little more personal.
Oftentimes, it’s the experience gifts are appreciated the most. And one great way to “gift” those experiences is by created a custom coupon book. You’ll write down what you are giving on each page, and then the recipient can redeem each experience whenever they would like.
My husband actually created a really nice coupon book for me for my birthday a few years ago, and I still find myself handing him coupons from it, here and there. I bet he really regrets including so many “I’ll do all of the dishes tonight” coupons. I always make sure to redeem those on nights when the sink is particularly piled high from dinner!

What is a coupon book?
A coupon book is a fun DIY gift idea that can be completely personalized to fit the recipient. Each page of the book has a space to write down a special event or experience that is redeemable by presenting the coupon to the gift giver.
For example, if you are creating a coupon book for your child, one coupon may say “This coupon is good for, one whole day without chores.” When your child wants to have a chore free day, all they need to do it hand you the coupon and it has been redeemed!
Coupon books are also a great way to make your kids feel more involved in what is going on that day. How fun would it be for your child to be out grocery shopping with you, and then they hand you a coupon for a trip to get ice cream!
Why are coupon books great gift ideas?
- They can be created at the last minute.
Whether you are in need of a quick stocking stuffer idea, or don’t have time to run to the store to buy a gift, these coupon books can be printed and ready to go in a matter of minutes. - They are thoughtful and personal.
Since you have the ability to fill out each page of the book with your own experiences, you can customize the gift to fit the recipient very well! Let’s say you just had a baby and your older child has been feeling a little jealous. You could make a coupon (or a few!) that are redeemable for one whole day of one on one time with mom or dad. The coupon books can easily be customized to include anything that you think your child would love. - They make non-toy gifts.
My son is only two years old and our entire house is already completely filled with toys. And while he is still a bit too young to understand what a coupon book is, I can imagine that there are tons of parents out there who don’t necessarily want to add a ton of new toys to the house this Christmas. This coupon book make a great non-toy gift that will make your child feel super special. I’ve always thought experience gifts made the best presents anyway! - Stick to a budget.
Christmastime is expensive! With so many people to buy presents for, it can be really hard to stick to a budget. Giving friends and family members a coupon book is a great way to gift something thoughtful and personal, while not breaking the bank!
Free Printable Christmas Coupon Book
This free printable Christmas coupon book is designed to print on standard 8.5×11 inch sheets of paper. For the best quality, I would highly recommend printing on white cardstock.
Each coupon, as well as the front and back covers will measure 7.5×2.5 inches when trimmed. I would definitely recommend using a paper cutter to ensure all of your lines are as straight as possible. This is the paper cutter that I currently have on my desk and would highly recommend.
Feel free to download and print as many coupon books as you would like. However, please do not edit or redistribute the files in any way. This design was created for personal use only.
Supplies needed:
- Printable coupon book pdf. (the download link is located at the bottom of this).
- 8.5×11 inch printer paper or cardstock
- Printer
- Scissors or a paper cutter
- Pens, pencils or markers
- Stapler or a hole punch and string or ribbon (depending on which way you choose to assemble your book.
How to assemble your coupon book:
First, download the coupon book pdf from the download link at the end of this post.
Once downloaded, print out the book on either standard 8.5×11 inch printer paper or white cardstock. For the best quality print I would highly recommend using cardstock if possible.
The pdf includes a cover, back page and 3 pages of 4 blank coupons, for a total of 12 inside pages. Feel free to print more of the coupon pages if you would like more than 12 coupons.
Cut the pages of the book apart using scissors or a paper cutter. This is the paper cutter that I am currently using and can definitely recommend it!
Next, write down what each coupon will be redeemable for. Check out the lists below for some fun ideas!
After your pages are all filled out, stack them together with the cover on front and back page on the bottom.
You can either use a stapler to bind the coupon book together or tie it together with string, ribbon or twine. If you would like to use string, simply use a hole punch to punch two holes in the red portion of the coupon pages and tie the string through into a bow, to hold the book together.
And that is all there is to it! You can use the coupon book as a main gift or fun stocking stuffer that both kids and adults will be sure to love and appreciate.

I haven't made a coupon book in a while. This is such a great idea because it can be customized to meet each family member's needs. This is something I should do and put it in the Christmas stockings. Thanks for the idea.
