I don’t know about you, but one thing that always makes me think of Summer is a nice cold glass of lemonade. Sitting outside in the warm weather sipping on a sweet drink sounds like a great afternoon to me!

Popsicle stick crafts are definitely my favorite type of crafts to make. There are so many different creative ideas you can come up with just simple wooden sticks. Today, I decided to prepare for Summer by creating this popsicle stick lemonade craft.

It is an easy and fun craft that is great for both kids and adults. Simply keep the craft as is, or attach a magnet to the back and display on the fridge for some seasonal decor!

Supplies needed to make one popsicle stick craft:

popsicle sticks

Step 1: Put together the base.

Place six regular sized popsicle stick in a row. Add some glue to a seventh popsicle stick and place it diagonally across the row of sticks. Next, add a mini sized popsicle stick to the left hand side of the base.

I love mini popsicle sticks, however, you can also simply break a regular sized one in half if you don’t have any.

Step 2: Paint the lemonade glass and straw.

Using white paint, paint the top quarter of the lemonade glass white. Paint the rest of the base yellow. Next, paint the entire mini popsicle stick red to make the straw. Feel free to change the color if you would like! I used acrylic paint for everything this step.

Step 3: Add in the ice cubes and finish the straw.

Once the paint from step 2 is completely dry, mix together some yellow and white paint. Add on two squares to represent two ice cubes in the glass. You can also add some diagonal white lines to the straw to create a fun pattern.

Step 4: Create the lemon slice.

While the paint is drying, take a yellow piece of construction paper and cut out a circle. Flip the lemonade glass over and glue the circle onto the right hand side of the glass.

If you would like, you can add a small craft magnet to the back of the lemonade glass and then display on the fridge!
