Supplies needed to create one popsicle stick cow craft:
- 7 popsicle sticks
- White paint
- Black construction paper
- Pink construction paper
- Black marker
- Googly eyes
- Scissors
- Glue
Step 1: Make the cow’s body.
First, line six popsicle sticks up in a horizontal row. Add glue to a seventh popsicle stick and place it diagonally across the others. Wait until everything is completely dried before moving onto the next step.
Step 2: Paint the popsicle stick base.
Using white paint, (I used acrylic) paint the entire popsicle stick base white. While this is drying, you can move onto the next step.
Step 3: Cut out the construction paper shapes.
Using pink construction paper, cut out one oval shape for the cow’s nose and two small oval shapes for the pink of its ears.
Using white construction paper cut out two small ears.
Using black construction paper cut out three differently shaped spots.
Step 4: Glue on the cow’s ears.
First, glue the pinks of the cow’s ears onto the white shapes. Then, flip the popsicle stick base over and glue the ears on to each side of its head.
Step 5: Finish the cow’s face and body.
Flip the cow back over and begin forming the rest of its body and face. Start by gluing on the nose. Add on the three black spots and finally glue on the googly eyes. Draw on two nostrils and a smiley face and your cow is now complete!
