How to assemble the puppet:

Step 1: Print out the bunny template.

Download the bunny puppet template from the form located at the bottom of this page. After it has been downloaded, print it out onto an 8.5×11 inch piece of white cardstock.

While printer paper will also work just fine, I would definitely highly recommend using cardstock for the best and most long lasting results.

Step 2: Color in the puppet.

Using markers, crayons colored pencils or any other art supplies you have available, start by coloring in the bunny.

There are two rectangles on the side of the page which will be the puppet’s handles. You can color them in if you would like. However, it is not necessary as they will not be seen from the front of the finished puppet.

Step 3: Cut out the puppet.

Cut out the bunny, it’s teeth, and the two rectangle handles on the side of the page.

Step 4: Fold the bunny.

Once everything has been cut out, start folding the puppet along the dotted lines.

On the front of the bunny you will see three dotted lines. Fold the middle line down and the top and bottom lines back. Feel free to reference the photo above.

If folded correctly, the bunny’s mouth will be hidden while the puppet is closed and you will be able to see it once you open it up using the handles.

Step 5: Glue on the teeth and handles.

Using glue or tape, attach the two handles to the top and bottom of the back of the puppet’s mouth. Place your hands into the handles and the chick’s mouth should easily open and close.

Finally, glue the bunny’s teeth to the top of the inside of it’s mouth. The teeth should be able to be seen when the puppet’s mouth is closed.

Now you can enjoy your puppet and let the fun and creative imaginative play begin!

Favorite Printable Supplies:

These are a few of my favorite supplies that I use for printable games and activities:

  • White Cardstock: For most projects, I recommend printing onto cardstock. It is much more durable than standard printer paper and often produces a higher quality print.
  • Crayons: A staple in any crafting household. Crayola is always the top notch choice!
  • Kid Friendly Safety Scissors: These are perfect for little kids learning how to use scissors. They cut paper but not fingers or hair!
  • Glue Sticks: These disappearing purple glue sticks are by far my favorite! I love buying them in bulk since we use them so often!
  • Lamination Machine: Laminating printables are a great way to make them last longer. If you are planning on laminating to make games reusable, be sure to get a bunch of dry erase markers as well.
  • Dry Erase Pockets: Dry erase pockets are a great alternative to using a lamination machine when wanting to make printable games and activities reusable.
  • Printer: A high quality printer is always recommended for the best results. If you are in need of a printer this Brother Wireless Printer is a great choice.
