Today, I wanted to share this fun free printable Valentine’s Day I Spy game. This activity would be great for holiday classroom parties, play dates, or just a fun way to keep the kids entertained on a rainy day.
Unlike Christmas, which tends to get an entire month of celebration, Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that typically only get attention on or around on the holiday itself.
However, I think that Valentine’s Day is such a sweet holiday (“sweet” holiday.. get it?!) that deserves some more celebration. We could all use some more love in our lives!
To get your kids or students in the spirit of Valentine’s Day this year, print out this fun I Spy game and start searching for 9 Valentine’s Day themed pictures. Don’t worry, I’ve included an answer key as well in case you get stumped!
Everyone will have a lot of fun trying to find all of the love themed pictures. Hearts, balloons, bow and arrows, teddy bears and more!
Since this upcoming year, Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday, it would be a great activity to have students work on before the weekend.

How do you play Valentine’s Day I Spy?
It’s super easy! All you need to do is search in box above and count how many of each picture you see. Write down the correct number on the lines next to each picture. To make it a bit more challenging, I’ve also included a few extra images the box as well.
Tip: If you are playing the Valentine’s Day I Spy game with younger kids, they can draw an X over each image as they count them. If they’d like, they can also color in each picture as the count them. This would also be a great way to extend the length of game a bit and allow the kids to be more creative.
How to make your Valentine’s Day I Spy Game reusable:
If you would like to keep this activity for your kids or students to work on year after year, making it reusable is a great idea!
All you would need to do is use a home laminating machine like this one and use dry erase markers.
Alternatively, you could also put the I Spy game into one of these dry erase pockets. This is a super simple and cost effective way to make your printable games reusable if you don’t have access to a laminating machine.
